Pastida is located inland towards the west coast of the island of Rhodes, Dodecanese. The town is conveniently close to the airport and 7km from the popular resort of Ialyssos. Pastida has a traditional character with cobbled alleys and white-washed houses. The surrounding olive groves and citrus trees make the town a green paradise. Pastida is very charming with its central square offering many bars, cafeterias, as well as traditional cafes. It is a calm village with a tranquil atmosphere, an ideal destination to escape from the noisy crowds. Due to its few inhabitants, the services are more authentic and traditional and you can try some of the most fresh and homemade food here. Although it has easy access to the town of Rhodes and many beach resorts, Pastida remains a peaceful destination and a great choice for a short trip where you can wander the paved streets and get closer to nature. There are frequent local buses connecting Pastida to Rhodes Town and other surrounding places.
