Kalathos is a lovely settlement on the east coast of the island of Rhodes offering one of the longest beaches of the island. It is found almost 8km from the village of Lindos. Lindos is a lovely village famed to be one of the most attractive and beautiful villages of Rhodes with important archeological findings. Its prime amphitheatric location on the slopes of the hill, overlooking a picturesque bay with its emblematic acropolis on top, makes it stand out. The village is adorned with whitewashed houses with pebble paved alleys and buildings that embrace Byzantine, medieval, Arab and local architectural elements. Pefki is another nearby option; a relatively low profile beach resort area of Rhodes, just 4km from cosmopolitan Lindos, washed by the Mediterranean Sea. Sandy beaches and crystal blue sea waters spread along the coast at the foot of a hillside adorned with pine trees which color the water.
