Chalet Opale Tignes is one of Tignes’ most prestigious properties available to rent. Finished in the summer of 2014, this unique chalet is a wonderful blend of modern and contemporary furnishings with authentic alpine décor ensuring maximum relaxation and never-ending luxury. This idyllic chalet occupies an incredible position next to the Almes piste in the heart of the Espace Killy ski area, a truly enviable location. An ideal spot for ski enthusiasts, snow permitting guests can ski back to the luxury chalet, alternatively, the piste is under a minutes’ walk from the chalet.

Spread over three floors, Chalet Opale Tignes sleeps 10 people in five beautifully designed bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms and either private balconies or terrace access. The top floor is home to the impressive master suite. Floor to ceiling French windows opens out onto a private balcony allowing light to flood in. There is an en-suite shower room and a separate toilet. The ground floor is the main sleeping floor which has four twin/double bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms and French windows which open out on the terrace.

The spacious open plan living and dining area is situated on the second floor, soft lighting, clean lines and natural wood create a haven of sophistication. The focal point of the room is the beautiful Lorenzo Quinn sculpture which sits in front of the far window against the dramatic backdrop of the Le Grand Sassière mountain range. The wonderfully inviting L shaped sofa is the perfect spot to relax and unwind with a glass of champagne in front of the roaring fire. The well-equipped kitchen overlooks the large dining table creating an ideal entertaining area.

Soak those ski legs after a long day on the slopes. Uninterrupted views of the surrounding peaks and Tignes le Lac can be enjoyed whilst sipping champagne and watching the world go by.

Chalet Ambre Tignes sleeps up to 11 people in 4 bedrooms or it can be taken alongside Chalet Opale to create an alpine residence sleeping 21. Finished in the summer of 2014, this unique chalet is a wonderful blend of modern and contemporary furnishings with authentic alpine décor ensuring maximum relaxation and never-ending luxury. The chalet occupies an incredible position next to the Almes piste in the heart of the Espace Killy ski area, a truly enviable location. Flat-screen TVs are throughout.

The wonderful open plan living and dining area are bright and spacious with stunning views of the Torvière mountain. A large L shaped sofa sits in front of the impressive fireplace providing a perfect space for the whole family to relax and unwind in after a hard day on the slopes. Dining in Chalet Ambre is an elegant affair, a beautiful chandelier sits above the large dining table which can seat 10 people comfortably. There is a Satellite TV and a Bose sound system.

Tignes is a group of villages that form a high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps, near the Italian border. Val Claret and Tignes Le Lac villages are lively hubs, with restaurants and shops. Tinges is not limited to winter activities. In summer, the area offers trails, golf, and a bike park, plus ski runs on the Grande Motte glacier.

Sixty percent of Tignes pistes are over 2,200 meters. For instance, the Grande Motte glacier provides 20km of runs over 3000m high.

Tignes is also child-friendly providing childcare services to allow adults to enjoy their time on the slopes. There is a village-style learning area in the center of the resort with free lifts for the little ones. Off the snow, there are family activities including the swimming pool with a cave and water slide and spa facilities for the grown-ups to have a rejuvenating experience.

With 96 speedy lifts and over 300km of piste runs, the Espace Killy area provides plenty of top quality skiing for all skier levels. However, with 80% of the area classified off-piste, it also offers a lot of fun to those who want a thrilling experience off the beaten track. Tignes has also catered for beginners, creating 10 “Naturides” for off-piste novices with safe, unmarked, ungroomed black runs.

Tignes is a must-visit for action lovers with activities such as Bung-J, Microlight flights, Ice diving and many more. There is also an ultra-modern sports center with a professional gym, climbing wall, squash courts and swimming pool with a waterslide and a cave for the little ones to enjoy. For a rewarding experience after the gym, head to Le Panoramic restaurant which offers a unique experience of fine dining at the 3.000 meters! Tignes is not limited to thrilling pistes and fine dining; it has also catered for exciting nightlife, with parties that last until the early hours and a wide selection of bars and clubs to choose from; such as the famous La Follie Douce for the ultimate party experience.
