This tiny Croatian island of Vis lent its beauty the Mamma Mia 2 which brought it to fame. This little piece of paradise prides itself on its beautiful beaches, 17th-century architecture and great seafood restaurants. Vis can be reached by helicopter, or by a ferry from Split that takes a little over two hours. However, you choose to arrive one thing is for sure: the arrival feels almost filmic. After a series of small islands, a harbor lined with a crown of creamy white houses emerges. If you choose to stay in Vis town you don’t need a car. It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the harbor to Kut, the oldest and prettiest part of this place, where most of the population is concentrated.
