Kata Noi is a beach on the southwest side of the island of Phuket, Thailand, adjacent to Kata Beach to the south with its name meaning “little” in Thai. Most of the beachfront of Kata Noi is occupied by the resort of Kata Thani. Kata Noi beach is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. It is about 700m long which makes it one of Phuket's smaller yet very popular beaches. Its powdery white sand, the crystal clear water, and the lush green jungle backdrops are good enough reasons for visitors to flock to this beach. December to April are the best months for swimming since the sea is calm. May to October is the period for surfing and surfers prefer the northern end of the beach. Being close to the well-known Kata Beach, Kata Noi gives its visitors the advantage of avoiding big tourist crowds, yet being close to a more buzz beach when they choose to. Kata Noi’s not so obvious location kept it relatively quiet. The area is dotted with small restaurants, markets, bars and all the amenities for a comfortable holiday.
