Maret is a wider coastal area in Koh Samui, where two landmarks are found; the Lamai beach and the attraction of Grandfather and Grandmother Rock. Lamai Beach is Samui's second-largest resort area after Chaweng. It is quieter and less bustling in respect to Chaweng, but still offers a wide range of options in terms of dining, shopping and relaxation. Its turquoise waters and powdery sand with lush green backdrops is the main attraction. Among the most popular sights with a background story that needs to be discovered, is the Grandfather and Grandmother Rock not far from Lamai Beach, approximately 2km.
