The estate is conveniently located only 6km from the Paul Kruger Gate, 26km from Skukuza Airport, or a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg. The Paul Kruger Gate is located on the Sabie River and is a popular place to see hippos and crocodiles sunning on the river banks. The Sabie is the most important watercourse in the southern Kruger, flowing southeast through the park and into Mozambique. Birders flock to the river bridge in particular to see Pel's fishing owls, which are most often seen near sunset.

The Paul Kruger Gate is the shortest route to Skukuza and one of only three gates into the west region of Kruger National Park's southern region. It also provides easy access to Lower Sabie. As a consequence, the gate receives a lot of traffic. The area's bushwalks and drives are rewarding, but the drive between Skukuza and Lower Sabie along the Sabie's wooded banks is definitely the best path to take while driving on your own. Lions, black wildebeests, gemsboks, buffalos, black rhinos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, thick-tailed bushbabies, and purple crested louries can all be found there.

Kruger National Park is one of Africa's main game reserves, located in northeastern South Africa. The Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos are among the many wild animals found there. Hundreds of other mammals, as well as various bird populations such as vultures, eagles, and storks, find their homes here. The terrain includes mountains, bush plains, and tropical forests. It is located in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa and occupies an area of 19,485 km2.
