CIRQA's powerful walls, arches, and columns, all made of volcanic pillar rock, were conserved as carefully as possible and form the timeless nucleus of the property on the first floor where carefully designed rooms, of which some have the original high-vaulted ceiling. The rooftop can be converted into an organic garden which serves as the base for a rural-style picantería in the heart of the city.

Located in the historic center of Arequipa, CIRQA shares an age-old bond with the San Agustín Church. Like the Church’s traditional Parador, where monks would receive travelers with one-of-a-kind service and hearty cuisine, CIRQA was fervently inspired by the unbounded hospitality and ecclesiastical history that still define Arequipa to its core. Honoring this original concept, CIRQA is a place of both rest and fine cuisine. In the Parador, travelers can embark on a myriad of excursions or choose to sample homegrown dishes in several eating areas.

Breathing colonial cultural heritage, these tranquil spacious rooms are a peaceful hideaway for every discerning guest. Unwind and let us pamper you with the renowned traditional arequipenean hospitality.

About the Location

Peru, Arequipa

Arequipa, is known as the White City due to its stunning white walls of sillar, a volcanic stone, is situated at the foot of the mighty volcanoes of Mount Chachani, Mount Misti, and the snow-capped top of Mount Pichu Pichu. The city's downtown, which has been designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, features Mixed Baroque churches and Colonial Period mansions such as the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a Spanish city in miniature with stone avenues, beautiful patios, and plazas. Sabanda, Tiabaya, and Tingo, found amid the vast fields, are must-see destinations, and the addictive Arequipa cuisine complements the tour perfectly.

Mountain biking, trekking, and white water rafting are only a few of the outdoor sports available in the valley. You will also see the magnificent flight of the condors from the Cross of the Condor. Other attractions in the department include the Toro Muerto petroglyphs, the Volcano Valley of Andagua, and the Cotahuasi Canyon. Most sights, shops, and restaurant are close making the ideal destination for your vacation

Peru is a South American country known for its Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, a historic Incan city high in the Andes mountains. The area around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail, and the historic city of Cusco, is densely packed with archaeological sites. Visitors rush to the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, but this celebrated location is just a blip in Peruvian settlement's 5000-year history. Explore the sandy remains of Chan Chan, the Americas' biggest pre-Columbian ruins.

Ingredients ranging from highland tubers to tropical jungle fruits have led to a diverse cuisine of Spanish, indigenous, African, and Asian elements. The reality is that fusion occurred here long before it was accompanied by airs and graces. Investigate the bounty of food markets. On the street corners, try grilled beef skewers and splurge on sublime Peruvian nouvelle cuisine. Take this large area in little bits and don't rush. Delays occur. Festivals will consume you for days. And you'll know that the fun in Peru is normally in getting there.
