About the Location

Leeward Islands, Antigua, St Marys

Ffryes Beach is located on the island's west coast and features a white sandy beach with a picture-perfect background of lush green hills to complement the sparkling beaches and bright turquoise water (awesome for snorkeling). It's simple to get there, simply walk from the Cocobay/Jolly Harbour district. Depending on what you're looking for in a resort, this one is perfect for fun in the sun and surf and should please the majority of tourists.

The ocean around Antigua is where the Caribbean Sea and the vast Atlantic Ocean meet, and beachgoers can expect largely calm conditions along Ffryes Beach. This is beneficial because there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty. Heavy winds and riptides, fortunately, are largely absent along this fine strip of beach. Because of the shallow waters and gentle slope of the sand, this classic beach setting is suitable for swimmers of even medium capacity. However, it is not suitable for kitesurfing or windsurfing. Ffryes Beach is a great destination for families and organizations, and it is still bustling with activity. It is also a popular destination for cruisers. Restaurants in the region serve delicious meals to foodies.

St Mary's is located on the southwest side of Antigua and consists of sophisticated and contemporary style. It's a modern Caribbean area with genuine West Indian conviviality. St Mary's beaches are situated at the southwestern shore of the island of Antigua, overlooking the tranquil turquoise waters and swathed by lush rainforest. There are wide choices of superb activities and facilities including many spas, tennis courts, yoga pavilions, and water sports center.

St Mary location is the perfect choice for those who want to have paradise-like beaches nearby but not too far away from the luxurious amenities Antigua has to offer. The nearby Jolly Harbour Marina offers a good choice of shops and local services with a very well-stocked supermarket, golf, banks, a pharmacy, and post office – all the essentials close by. It is the ideal area combining relaxation and many activities to do. It is paradise on earth

Antigua's amazing coastline is the birthplace of hundreds of perfect little bays sprinkled with clear blue water. You're going to find a strong English dialect on this island. You'll find it in the vibrant capital of St John's, the salty, luxurious English Harbor, and the ancient forts and other vestiges of the colonial era. But Antigua is also the quintessential Caribbean, full of candy-colored communities, a rug-infused mellowness, and welcoming locals who will welcome you with a big smile.

Far from glamor, there are several attractions: from picturesque rainforests to historic places such as Shirley Heights, a naval overlook with views of Nelson's Dockyard, the only functioning Georgian dockyard in the country. The tallest point of Antigua, Mount Obama, giving you the perfect chance for hiking. It's also worth visiting the island's parks and extraordinary blowholes, such as Devil's Bridge, triggered by the colliding Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea surfing. Whatever is the reason for visiting Antigua, you'll leave only with good memories and many reasons to come back

The amazing beaches of the Leeward Islands have long been a popular refuge for pirates, adventurers, and sailors hunting for rum, sun, and silver crumbs of sand. This beautiful string of islands wraps some of the firm favourite destinations in its arms—from the honeymoon of Antigua to the exquisite St. Kitts, you can spend several days chartering around these luxurious islands. Caught between the pounding Atlantic surf and the blue colors of the Caribbean, you can choose between hammock-like peace, historic expeditions, or glorious outdoor experiences.

You might easily spend your days in the sun lounger, although there are plenty of chances to get busy. Beat your way through thick rainforests to the volcanic peaks of painterly panoramas, or dive below the waterline for the mesmerizing close-ups of coral and tropical fish. Come close with colonial spirits in abandoned military forts or abandoned sugar plantations, then interact with the present over rum punches, roadside bbq's and blasting beach parties with live music. Only don't expect casinos, apartment complexes or major malls – this is the Caribbean as pure as it goes.
