Guests can enjoy the privacy of the cottage or use any of the facilities of our main lodge. Breakfast and dinner are available. Also a bar, library, coin laundry, and hot tubs. A pull-out single bed can be used in either bedroom or the living area for a 5th guest. There is free WiFi, a large flat-screen TV, Apple TV with NetFlix. The toilet is a Japanese 'Washlette' heated style. There is a vanity area and Japanese-style 'unit bath' with a shower and bathtub. The kitchen has a gas hob and grill with all cooking utensils provided.
At Otari Village, you will explore the slopes and beyond. Otari Village, known as Hakuba's powder snow capital, has three relaxed resorts that offer some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the valley and is easily accessible by bus or rail. Otari may not be as well-known as other Japanese cities, but don't let that fool you. Otari is a small but lovely up-and-coming tourist destination that is well worth a visit. Any of the interesting things to do and places to visit at this secret destination would astound you.
YOu can ski at the nearby resorts of Norikura, Cortina, and Tsugaike, which are only a handful of the Hakuba Valley's 11 resorts. After that, you may want to visit the nearby natural hot spring, where you can mingle with locals and other visitors to the city. Onsen Otari Is located in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park and has an outstanding hot spring with a tradition of over 400 years. It is a spa hot spring from the days when it was claimed to be Shingen Takeda's secret water. It's the ideal spot for those looking for excellent ski slopes, peace of mind, and a beautiful view.
Nagano is full of natural scenery and renowned for its ski resorts and hot springs. Nagano became a famous travel destination after the 1998 Winter Olympics. The Jigokudani Monkey Park, where tourists can see monkeys taking baths in hot springs, is an especially popular tourist spot. Another popular sightseeing attraction is the Castle of Matsumoto or the Castle of Crow, so-called for the black color of its walls and roof. Ueda Castle, a remarkable landmark, gained national recognition as the backdrop for the NHK historical drama "Sanadamaru" in 2016.
