The architecture recalls the 15th-century style with the two-level entrance staircase on the principal facade, with balustrade and columns in stone, and the three-arched lodge of typical Tuscan order facing the rear facade. The property has a park with century-old trees, splendid Mediterranean plants, and a fruit garden. A gallery of roses crosses one side of the garden, from the pool (13/6mtrs and from 1.10 to 1.60 deep) to the lemon houses one of which has a ping pong and billiard table while the other has a kitchen for cooking lessons and pizza parties. These can also be used for special occasions or just for reading and relaxing.

The inside of the villa is decorated with frescoes of 1600/1700, restored to their original splendor in 2018. All the elements which furnish this spectacular property are of the highest historical value due to their authenticity. From the original, cotto pavements to the wooden beam ceilings, the delightful fireplaces, the columns in marble, to the precious frescoes and decorations. The elegant and sophisticated furnishings with precious materials and elegant gildings lend great charm and unique emotions to this antique building. The villa, approximately 1.000 mq, has three floors and can hold 20 guests.

On the first floor there is the main kitchen with the original wood stove and opens onto the garden; the dining room, closet, two bathrooms with toilet, bidet, and hand basin, a second smaller kitchen, and a lounge room. The original cellar has been converted into a cellar, with the original wooden wine barrels, an area for wine-tasting, and a special room with an excellent selection of wines. From the cellar, there is a direct entrance into the garden.

The entrance into a salon by a typical Lucca-style 16th-century staircase. From this central salon you enter: a lounge room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen that opens onto a covered patio, two double bedrooms, a shared bathroom, another double bedroom with a separate bathroom, a frescoed “music “room with piano, a study, a lounge room and a bathroom with shower. On the second floor, there is a big fitness room with all modern athletic equipment, 4 double bedrooms, another 3double bedroom, and 4 bathrooms.

About the Location

Italy, Tuscany, Lucca Area

The Lucca Area in Tuscany, Italy will enchant its visitors with its stunning landscape that has been shaped by the mighty Serchio River and is dotted with quaint medieval towns. The heart of this picturesque territory beats in the city of Lucca, famous for its perfectly-preserved defense walls and for its “100 churches”. Since the walls lost their military importance, their top part became a pedestrian promenade and is today one of Lucca's main attractions.

Lucca is very easy to reach both by car as well as train from Pisa or Florence. Stroll around the city to feel the scent of the authenticity of a place that has been favorably forgotten by time. Adorned with plenty of architectural gems, like the churches of San Frediano and San Michele, or the Cathedral of San Martino, it will leave no one indifferent. Amongst the attractions worth seeing, there are Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, built on top of the ruins of a Roman amphitheater, and the Guinigi Tower, at the top of which you will find a shady oasis of oak trees.

For those who love exploring primed gardens, there’s another must-see destination in this area: the stunning Lucchesia villas. Embraced by hills, these countryside “palaces” were built by wealthy merchants in the 15th century to be lavish residences boasting luxuriant gardens, embellished by parks with great attention to detail. These villas and their gardens are spectacular for those who love the camellia flowers, a feature that has made these places beauty unique, including Villa Olivia, Villa Grabau, Villa Reale, Villa Torrigiani and Villa Mansi.

Wine lovers will enjoy exploring the small village of Montecarlo, nestled in the hills and famous for the excellent wine produced by the many companies in the surrounding countryside.

Tuscany is a place like nowhere else in the world; this is the reason why this region is at the tops bucket lists all over the globe. Amazing landscapes, beautiful hilltop towns and the fantastic capital city of Florence charm everyone who decides to visit it. It is a majestic region with almost half of the artistic heritage of Italy and fantastic landscapes. Due to its mild weather, you could visit Tuscany all year round. It’s a region with exceptional art towns and hilltop villages and with a heritage of a glorious past with unspoiled nature, spectacular sea coast, and beautiful islands. Here you will taste some of the best wine varieties and then you can relax to one of its thermal spas.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
