REVIEW SCORE

Villa Bisetta Favignana is situated in a way that the sun casts geometric shadows across the volumes of this modern seafront home, located on the evocative Favignana island, the queen of the Aegadian archipelago that has crystal-clear water, and surrounded by a bright grass field descending to the sea.

Set meters from a characteristic rocky beach, to which it has private access, this two-level house is built on the hedge of his hill. Placed in one of the most desirable parcels of the island, the internal and external spaces are designed with style, comfort, and refinement with the aim of making guests experience an unforgettable Sicily time, a few steps from the sea, with a view of the small islands of Prevent and Marettimo and only a thousand meters from the famous Cala Rotonda beach.

On the sweeping grounds, there’s a solarium area with umbrellas and sun-beds right next to the entrance to the beach. Hidden away, yet not far from the town center, this villa offers six bedrooms decorated in elegant style with relaxing white walls, contemporary fabrics, and contemporary, clean furnishing. The estate includes 1 hectare of private gardens and wide terraces, its panoramic alfresco areas are the ideal place to relax in the sun whilst being rocked by the sound of the sea

The home design, approached with research in the historical context, results in a modern style with stone, modern tiled floors, and marble. The walls on the external side lend a contemporary feel while the interiors have clean and sharp lines of décor: the six bedrooms are all of the minimal architectural design, yet very comfortable, this is a contemporary retreat full of light and a welcoming vibe.

The interiors include a spacious living room, a sea view dining area with glass wall windows, and 2 eat-in well-equipped kitchens, the interior of the property measures 300 square meters and it can accommodate a total of 12 adults. A shelter of design and minimalism, that protects the inner environment with clean spaces and design items, in direct contraposition to the untouched sea life nature surrounding the house, with sunlight and sea breeze.

About the Location

Italy, Sicily, Favignana Island

Favignana is the main and biggest Island of Egadi Archipelago, which was called “the big butterfly on the sea” by the painter Salvatore Fiume in the 70’s.

The major attractions of the island are its heavenly bays that are all different from one another and all unforgettable

Favignana is, without doubt, an ideal place to start a holiday on the Egadi Islands. As for the Island being the largest, it also gives you an easy journey to visit Levanzo and Marettimo.

Βoat or car is a good way to visit Favignana but the best way to enjoy it is by bicycle or by scooter, in order to reach the isolated creeks. Sport fishing for those who loves adventures, visiting the Ipogei Garden, or cruising on a boat seeing the caves in the sea (Grotte Marine) is just one of the island's several and different tours,

The small village offers a relaxing and peaceful holiday away from the hectic city.

Sicily is the largest of the Italian islands, separated from the Continent by the Strait of Messina and washed by the Ionian, the Tyrrhenian, and the Mediterranean Seas. It is a true gem of Southern Italy and is a place with abundant nature and rich history and traditions along with outstanding architecture. Nature here seems to have embraced all its versions: mountains, hills, and above all the most magnificent azure sea, with its crystal-clear water and the impeccable beauty of its colorful seabed. Sicily also involves three volcanos, with the most famous being Etna which adds one more color to the unique palette of this mythical island.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
