At 881 meters above the lake and with no immediate neighbors, the villa is an oasis of calm. Yet the pretty perched mountain village of Pigra is only 300 meters away and the popular lakeside village of Argegno can be reached within 4 minutes from the cable car station located 500 meters from the villa gates.

Pigra has a couple of restaurants and is a perfect base for hiking and mountain biking. Argegno provides a wide range of restaurants, our own private boat mooring, and a scheduled river taxi service, ideal for exploring all that Lake Como has to offer

The views from south facing Villa Peduzzi are truly stunning – a combination of a wide blue lake and green mountain vistas rounded off with glorious golden sunsets. These can be enjoyed from the balconies off every bedroom, the villa’s main surrounding terrace, and the extraordinary pool house with its green roof and infinity pool. Also making the most of this aspect are an exceptional yoga/wellness room that has been carved out of the cliff face and the rooftop terraces, bar, and entertainment area.

The villa sits in lush gardens of 4.5 acres offering the peace and tranquillity that is so difficult to find on Lake Como. Villa Peduzzi comfortably sleeps 14 people although additional children’s beds are also available. All the bedroom suites are designed in a contemporary and stylish manner in keeping with the villa’s elegant features. An elevator links the 3 main floors and the caretaker's apartment and laundry in the basement.

The large south-facing Lombardy Suite enjoys a balcony and a terrace, both overlooking the lake. A dressing room and a modern bathroom complete the ensemble. The Tuscany Suite also faces the lake and is joined to the East facing Veneto Suite by a large shared bathroom. Both suites have balconies enjoying lake views. The West-facing Liguria Suite also has a balcony to enjoy the mountain views and the sunsets. The large bathroom is a lovely space to unwind before dinner.

This floor mirrors exactly the layout of the first floor, including the balconies and terraces. The large Piedmont Suite enjoys a southern aspect over the lake. The Umbria Suite also looks south and shares a large bathroom with the Abruzzo Suite which looks East. The Apulia Suite enjoys the mountain views to the north.

This extraordinary open space provides a number of different entertainment areas. There are 2 large seating areas for enjoying the various entertainment possibilities (TV, projector, music system, and board games). Additionally, there is a pool table, kitchenette, and w.c. Two roof terraces providing glorious views over the lake are accessed from this floor. One of these also features an attractive island bar and raised viewing platform. The perfect place for enjoying a day’s end sundowner. There is a final double bedroom, the Liberty Suite, with an en-suite at the tallest point of the house. Accessed from the 3rd floor, the Liberty Suite enjoys wonderful light and stunning views from huge double windows on 2 sides.

Facilities & Services There is an attractive dining room within the villa and alfresco dining under a pergola on the huge terrace overlooking the lake. A short walk from the villa one finds the 22 meters long heated infinity pool with Jacuzzi attached, providing picture-perfect 360 degrees views over the lake. There is also a well-appointed pool house which, with all the full-length windows folded away, seems to float over the pool. It has a kitchen, island bar, and comfortable seating area.

As well as numerous sunbathing spots around the pool and on the pool house “green” roof, there are 2 additional alfresco dining locations, taking advantage of the proximity of the pool house kitchen. There is also a changing room and toilet carved into the rock face.

About the Location

Italy, Lombardy, Lake Como

Lake Como, also known as Lario, is the third largest of the Italian lakes and also one of the deepest lakes in Europe, an hour drive from Milan. Primly located at the foot of the Alps, Lake Como provides one of the most picturesque sceneries globally. The latest years, it has attracted great publicity, due to the ownership in the area of a villa by actor George Clooney and due to the filming of parts of the 2006 Bond movie ‘Casino Royale’ and other Hollywood films such as ‘Star Wars’.

Como’s mountain-backed shores create a one of a kind setting. Wander around ancient paths that will lead you to attractive villages where many of the historic palaces open their rooms and gardens for public viewing. Historic villages are framed by the magnificent backdrop of the Italian and Swiss Alps to create a small piece of paradise.

Bellagio is the most touristy village, offers a palette of vibrant restaurants and bars as well as local boutiques of high fashion. Explore the quaint villages of Grisdale taking the cable car from Argegno to Pigra, a small hillside town with amazing views of the lake and the mountains beyond. The small town of Cadenabbia is of great photographic interest, set on the side of Monte Crocione with great views of the Alps. Lenno, set along the water offers long strolls along its several scenic walking paths. It's also ideal for sunbathing and dining. For more peace and quiet, choose Lezzeno, another lakefront village.

Lake Como is not only a place of unique natural beauty; it also offers a handful of fun activities to its visitors such as boating, paddleboarding, jet skiing and kayaking.

Lombardy is located in northern Italy and has Milan as its capital which is a global hub of fashion and finance, with various high-end shops and exquisite restaurants. Its Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral is one of the most imposing masterpieces of Italy and Santa Maria Delle Grazie convent is housing Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of “The Last Supper,” a testimony of centuries of art and culture. North of Milan, famous Lake Como is an upscale alpine resort with breathtaking scenery.

The region of Lombardy shares a border with Switzerland. Stretching from the Alps to the lowlands of the Po Valley, it features diversity in landscape, including the breathtaking mountain chain that boasts the Valchiavenna, Valtellina and the Camonica Valley. So if you are a ski or winter sports lover, you are spot on! Lombardia combines the unique character of Italy with some northern influences, being a winter sports paradise with its extremely popular resorts of Tonale, Bormio, Livigno and Madesimo.

Another aspect that defines the region is its wine production of the Franciacorta area. Also the charm of the great lakes such as Lake Garda, famous Lake Como and Lake Maggiore framed by stately homes, parks and picturesque small towns. The region of Lombardy comprises the provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, Como, Cremona, Lecco, Lodi, Mantua, Milan (regional capital), Monza and Brianza, Pavia, Sondrio and Varese.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
