In the large Mediterranean garden on several levels, there is a swimming pool 9 meters long by 4 wide and 1.5 meters deep. At the poolside, a solarium, surrounded by splendid olive trees, will allow you to enjoy wonderful "sunbathing" in front of a unique scenario across the Gulf of Gaeta. The exterior of the house is all to be experienced thanks to an equipped patio that represents an oasis of peace and tranquility where you can spend pleasant convivial moments. The well-kept garden will allow you to experience a holiday within a holiday.
On the ground floor there is one of the bedrooms with bathroom without shower, while on the first floor there are the other 3 bedrooms with 2 complete bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. The interiors are very well furnished with fine furniture and luxury finishes. The living room, very comfortable and bright thanks to the large windows to the outside, has a large antique fireplace, comfortable sofas, armchairs, a reading corner and a study.
The dining room also opens onto the outdoor patio, connected to the living room by a double arch and a collection of antique cups and teapots. The built-in kitchen is very well equipped with a breakfast table, sink, double hob with 2 + 2 burners, grill, kettle, oven, double door fridge.
The house has two guarded parking spaces. It is advisable to have your own car. Villa Mira is located in a very exclusive and convenient hilly area because it is very close to various places of interest such as the station, port, city center, Vindicio beach.
If you love nature, traditions and good food, Villa Mira is the ideal place for a holiday.
In the surroundings, you can visit the Regional Urban Park of Monte Orlando, the Sanctuary of the Montagna Spaccata, the Regional Park of Gianola, and many archaeological sites such as the Mausoleum of Cicero, the Roman Cistern, the ancient Roman city of Minturnae, the medieval city of Gaeta Thanks to the railway line and the port, the cities of Rome, Naples and all the splendid islands of Ponza, Ventotene, Ischia and Capri are within easy reach.
Lazio is in central Italy, on the western coast. The region was formerly known to English travellers by its Roman name, Latium, although this version of the name is now rarely used. A major port of call on the Grand Tour, when eighteenth-century travellers explored its scenic villages, Lazio is now largely overlooked in favour of its capital, Rome.
With so much investment, jobs and tourism concentrated in Rome, the surrounding region is often quiet, depopulated and rather run-down. For tourists, the good side of this is the tracts of unspoiled countryside, the dilapidated but surviving historic town centres, and the welcome you may receive. Tourists are rare creatures in many of Lazio's smaller towns, and once locals realise you are interested in their hometown they are generally delighted.
Italy's most underrated regions? Lazio is certainly in the running. Is there vacation life after Rome? Oh, how can we possibly count the many compelling towns, villages and archaeologlical sites? Certainly you know Tivoli and Hadrians Villa, the painted Etruscan tombs of Tarquinia and Cerveteri, the olives of coastal village Gaeta, Ostia Antica, the ancient port of Rome, the Castelli Romani and Frascati wine. The list goes on and on. You could spend a year wandering the 6,655 square miles of Lazio without a hint of boredom.
