Villa Camilla Lake Maggiore has flat roofs planted with greenery and is built over two floors (each 200m²). The side of the villa facing the road is covered in local stone giving it a traditional appearance. The other sides are painted in soft pastel colors to blend with the surrounding landscape. The villa is designed in a modern and minimalist concept but at the same time creates a comfortable atmosphere that will make you feel completely at home.

The ground floor comprises an impressive open-air living room with walls of windows that open onto the covered patio and endless views. More natural light comes from the roof windows with remote-controlled Velux skylights. The centerpiece of the kitchen is the Corian topped island with an induction hob and extractor hood, built-in dishwasher, inset sink, and utensil drawers.

The sidewall with sliding doors cleverly conceals the kitchen appliances including the fridge, freezer, oven, and microwave. The living room is completed with a dining table seating 10 people and a relaxing area with a large sofa and 55” LED TV. The two sleeping areas are on each side of the living room. On one side are two double bedrooms, designed with the utmost attention to every detail and with large windows overlooking the lake, a bathroom with a spacious resin-coated shower, and a walk-in wardrobe.

The other side comprises a bedroom with two single beds and a built-in wardrobe with a 32” TV, a bathroom with a resin-coated shower, and last, but not least, the master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with a Dark Desert stone coated shower. The master bedroom comes with a spacious wardrobe and 40” TV and offers plenty of light and panoramic views over the pool and lake thanks to its large windows.

This amazing villa was built with the highest quality materials and to the specification of the smallest architectural details: surveillance system, the best electrical and plumbing equipment, dehumidifying fans, under-floor heating and cooling, air conditioning in every room, dimmer controlled lights, and energy-saving LEDs, home automation and state-of-the-art technology. Fast internet (wireless) and satellite TV (SKY) are available.

Villa Camilla Lake Maggiore stands on a 1000m² plot boasting a spacious covered terrace and a landscaped lawn with native trees in a clean minimalist layout enriched by lavender and other fragrant plants. The stunning infinity swimming pool with views over the town, the lake, and the surrounding mountains create the ideal setting for winding down and enjoying your dream vacation. The pool (14×4.5m) has easy access steps and includes internal bench seats for relaxing and admiring the views.

The same stone inside as well as outside the pool has been used to create a sense of continuity of the water and colors towards the lake. There’s an outdoor hot and cold shower and at night the LED spotlights give eye-catching visual effects.

About the Location

Italy, Lake Maggiore

Lake Maggiore is one of the three most picturesque Italian lakes and a true jewel, believed to be the largest of the pre-Alpine lakes, hence the name "Maggiore" which means largest. It is of glacial origin and its banks are spread over Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland. Lake Maggiore has enchanted plenty of Italian and foreign artists who have stayed here, surrounded by mountains and hills that shelter it from the cold northern winds. Including Ticino River among its tributaries, it gains also in historical character since this is a historic water route connecting the Po Valley to Central Europe.

Lake Maggiore is in a prime location, allowing the guests not only to explore the lake environment but also to reach some of the most prestigious areas and Italian cities such as Milan in less than an hour or the famous Lake Como. The Italian wine enthusiasts can reach in less than two hours the exquisite vinicultural farms over the Langhe and the Monferrato hills or alternatively the wineries in the Franciacorta region. For those who don’t mind a trip with a high-speed train, cities such as Venice, Florence, Verona, Bologna or Turin, whose beauty and charm are globally acknowledged are not that far.

Beautiful villas and imposing fortresses and castles are located around the lake and its 11 surrounding islands, whose history and culture enriches the impeccable charm of the lake: the Castello Visconteo of Locarno, the Rocca of Arona and the Rocca Borromea Angera which now houses a doll's museum. Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Madre and Isola Bella, the eighteenth-century Villa Ponti in Arona and Villa Treves in Belgirate, which hosted Gabriele D'Annunzio and Giovanni Verga among its guests, are just some of the very interesting villas.

Lake Maggiore will satisfy the most demanding nature lovers with its stunning botanical gardens, including Villa Taranto with more than a thousand plants, Alpinia extending over 40,000 square meters, the Camelia Park in the Locarno and numerous others. There are also many nature reserves such as the National Park of Val Grande and the Natural Park of the Ticino Valley, a UNESCO biosphere reserve.

Lake Maggiore is also a natural paradise for sports lovers. In the surrounding areas of the lake, you can practice sports such as hiking, biking, golf, and horseback riding, immersed in natural landscapes of rare beauty. The lake waters are ideal for sailing, canoeing, yachting, water skiing and scuba diving activities.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
