A secluded haven for romantics, adventurers, and the mindful; Viceroy Bali luxury resorts commit to offering an unrivaled quality of customer service. A place where time slows down, connecting you with vibrant mother nature and offering rejuvenation.

Set amid Ubud’s lush jungle valley setting, Apéritif offers an alternative and unique fine-dining experience in Bali. Housed in an elegant, spacious standalone building overlooking the verdant jungle landscape, the 1920s-inspired restaurant offers a sophisticated degustation menu that is representative of the culinary team —led by Executive Chef Nic Vanderbeeken— and their respect for ingredients. The menu explores the world by way of the Indonesian archipelago; an eclectic journey of global gastronomy with the added influences of the old Spice Islands. It couples high-grade produce sourced globally, locally, and from the Apéritif greenhouse with the finesse of Modern European culinary techniques. This luxurious tropical haven is also home to Apéritif Bar, where guests are encouraged to enjoy pre-dinner and fancy cocktails in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties.

Perched magnificently atop Bali’s Valley of the Kings, Lembah Bali Spa is considered one of Bali's most tranquil settings and the perfect location for the pursuit of holistic health and well-being. Treatments have been meticulously developed combining Western knowledge with traditional, time-honored Balinese wellness techniques handed down over centuries. In fact, the name Ubud, for where Viceroy Bali Spa is located, originates from the Balinese word "obat" which literally means "herb" or "medicine". If this highland region is the center of healing then Lembah is at its heart, with unique traditions in health and healing that have given Ubud a reputation amongst spa practitioners worldwide.

Viceroy Bali also offers activities such as yoga, cooking class, Balinese massage, romantic candlelit dinner, and cycling.

Elegant yet discreet, the Ubud accommodation with a private pool suite is a modern open-plan space ideal for couples wanting the private hotel haven. The semi-outdoor marble bathroom allows you to effortlessly step to your heated undercover plunge pool.

The daybed and covered deck provide ample comfort and space to soak in the spectacular jungle views whilst being protected from the elements. Inside the bedroom and lounge, expect a generous space to relax and ample amenities. Ubud accommodation with private pool suites are one-bedroom and 150 m2 (1615 ft2) in size.

About the Location

Indonesia, Bali, Ubud

Ubud is considered to be Bali's cultural heart and here you will find the most important art museums of Bali. It's just an hour's drive north of the airport and among the mountains. Ubud is also home to one of Bali's royal families and it features a majestic palace in the center of town. Ubud is also renowned as a crafts center. There are numerous shops selling antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, paintings and jewellery in Ubud. Ubud's main street is dotted with dozens of art studios, an excellent local craft market and plenty of galleries.

Around Ubud, popular are the villages of Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan and Batuan, which specialize in crafts and woodcarving, sold all over the island. Ubud Monkey Forest is the most popular stop for tourists in the town of Ubud. Macaque monkeys roam freely to this green paradise which also includes an imposing temple complex. Ubud rice fields still cover a large part of Ubud, despite its development that can be easily reached on foot or by bicycle and are definitely a cultural experience. The Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah) is located just 10 minutes south of Ubud and is one of the most sacred places of Bali. Along with this, there is a great variety of Hindu temples that you can visit for free or with a small donation.

Ubud is a great place for shopping and almost a sophisticated experience in respect to the more mass production touristy shops of Kuta. You can also get holistically healed in one of the exclusive spas of Ubud; an experience that can be shared with the whole family and friends. Your visit to Ubud would be incomplete without watching a traditional dance performance. Although a touristic sight, it will give you an insight to the Hindu legends
