Makasih is short for ‘Terima Kasih which means’ thank you’ in the Indonesian language and surely, you will be feeling thankful when having this beautiful tropical luxury villa in the midst of fashionable Seminyak as your private home away from home this holiday to Bali Island. Villa Makasih is a charming 2-bedroom villa that steals the heart of each and every one. Guests will enter the villa in the villa’s sprawling tropical garden, featuring high white walls and lush tropical greenery growing on the side of the glistening private swimming pool. You can dive straight into the refreshing water of the swimming pool or seek air-conditioned comfort inside, in the living room. The garden also features a timber deck furnished with a Balinese daybed and a sun lounger for those wanting to sunbathe. On the other side of the pool, stands another antique daybed, but this one is shaded by an ‘alang alang’ thatched rooftop like a cabana-style gazebo - the perfect spot to snooze, read a book and chill out with a cocktail in hand.

The living room is compact, cozy, cool, and soaked in natural sunlight. The pavilion features a traditional high soaring rattan ceiling and full-length glass doors that fold back to the sides to create a tropical open-plan living space. When the heat gets too much for you, close the doors, put on the AC, and go lounge on the sofa to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV that is mounted to the wall. A big wooden-framed mirror reflects the greenery of the garden in the daytime whilst in the evening, the living room is illuminated beautifully by a big rattan designer's lamp that hangs above the timber picnic-style dining table. The kitchen features hand-painted tiles on the floor and to the walls, giving it a unique look. The kitchen is spacious and it is more than well equipped with everything needed and more including a large fridge with a separate freezer, a toaster, coffee machine, and a 2-pit stove.

The two-bedroom suites are located side by side next to the timber deck that flanks the swimming pool. Upon drawing the curtains in the morning and opening up the glass sliding doors, you can go relax on the daybed to soak up the gentle warming morning sun or you can dive straight into the swimming pool even before coffee is served. Both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and they feature warm wooden interiors enriched by traditional tribal artwork from the Indonesian archipelago. The king-size beds are tucked in fresh white linen and there are writing desks to surf the complimentary wifi on your laptop. Each bedroom comes with a safe and the en-suite bathrooms feature washbasins crafted out of natural stone and luxurious rain showers. Tropical plants and orchid flowers add a tropical touch to your showering experience. Bathroom guest amenities are catered for.

About the Location

Indonesia, Bali, Seminyak

Seminyak is Bali's most stylish, luxurious and cosmopolitan beach resort area, hosting a number of fine restaurants and exclusive boutiques. Seminyak's streets are dotted with fashion stores but also with Bali's top dining spots where international chefs create culinary art with world-class cuisine. Seminyak's Petitenget Beach offers a more secluded environment with respect to Kuta and Legian found to its south. However, after sunset, Seminyak gets very lively. It is close to the very cosmopolitan and lively Kuta, the party scene of Bali and the most surfing-centered one. Seminyak is also conveniently located close to the international airport and not far from Nusa Dua with its beautiful sandy beaches.

Surfing, of course, is the first thing on your list if you love action or want a real insight into Bali’s sports culture. Another diffused activity is scuba diving to explore the colorful fish seabed. A stop to Potato Head beach club, one of the premium venues in Seminyak with an impressive infinity pool is worth your time. Here relaxation and luxury are combined to give you the finest Seminyak has to offer.

Seminyak includes one of the six most important sea temples in Bali, Pura Petitenget which in Balinese means ‘magic box’ and it is a reference to a 16th-century priest who owned such a box.

If you love cocktails, beautiful sunsets and DJs’ music, Ku De Ta is one of the most popular places in Seminyak and is a large beachfront bar that has some great views over the ocean.

Bali is the most popular holiday destination in the Indonesian archipelago. Exotic temples and palaces embraced by lash nature, are some of its top attractions. After sunset, famous nightspots invite its many visitors to unforgettable nights. You will be amazed by the verdant nature and jungles. Bali also boasts world-class beaches and luxury resorts in hot spots such as Kuta, Seminyak, and Jimbaran where most of the accommodation is right on the beach. They also host some of Bali’s greatest surf spots. The eastern beach resorts are more tranquil and present the most beautiful sunsets. These include Sanur, Nusa Dua and the coast of Candidasa. In east Bali and northern region, you’ll find some world-class diving spots with calm bays. They're home to pristine corals and colorful marine life.

Indonesia is composed of many islands that display cultural and landscape diversity, located off the coast of mainland Southeast Asia in the Indian and Pacific oceans. With nearly 13,500 islands under its jurisdiction, Indonesia offers an adventure for everyone, from exploring ancient temples and hiking active volcanoes to diving in exotic, pristine waters. This country’s history and natural beauty will leave no visitor uncharmed. Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world after China, India and the USA, having the largest Muslim population in the world. It includes over 100 active volcanoes.
