Vourvourou beach in Halkidiki is a small beach located between the villages of Ormos Panagia and Sarti, on the eastern side of Sithonia peninsula, 51km southeast of Poligiros, the capital of Halkidiki. The area around Vourvourou is adorned with tiny rock islands, sea caves and beautiful coniferous forests.
Vourvourou is one of the best sandy beaches, ideal for families due to its shallow waters and its great touristic facilities. It offers a wide range of water sports for more active crowds. Visitors have the opportunity to take a boat ride to Diaporos, the largest of the nine islands across the bay of Vourvourou, and explore its small coves. The nearby Mount Itamos offers some splendid walking trails and a panoramic view of the Vourvourou bay.
