A tiny sandy beach next to the jetty is great for small children, while other small, shingle beaches are accessed along a footpath. The house also has a pool surrounded by a lawn, an offsite tennis court, windsurfing equipment, and a speedboat upon request. Designed to follow the contour of the hill on which it is built, the villa offers spacious rooms, terraces, and balconies galore and above all, lovely views of the water and beach 30m below. Steps lead down through the garden to the pool and then continue down to the shore.
Wrap-around terraces offer different seating, eating, and lazing areas for a large group of people. The villa is always undergoing renovation, though keeping the original concept that preserves the Pelion style of hand-made roof tiles, whitewashed walls, wooden balconies and ceilings, and stone floors. The space, privacy, and proximity to the sea make this an ideal house for relaxing with family or friends.
The house is fully secured with outdoor video surveillance cameras and an alarm system. At the nearby airport of Volos, there are flights from London ( twice a week ), Paris, Vienna, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Munich, and Düsseldorf ( once a week) .1 km from the villa there is also a Helipad. You will also find a beach club 300 meters from the villa.
Amaliapolis is an idyllic seaside village about 60km south of Volos, on the western side of the Pagasetic Gulf in Greece. It sits in its own bay with a small island off-shore and includes a sandy beach and several tavernas and bars, some of which stay open all year. It is also popular as a holiday destination for Athenians even for a weekend getaway. The locals here are very friendly and hospitable. After the passing of August, there are no tourists and it is an ideal retreat.

Apart from the beauty of the villa and the meticulous grounds, what we enjoy most is the atmosphere it provides, this feeling of coming home. Our most memorable moments are those spent on the boat taking tours to the neighboring islands and swimming in the hundreds of little bays nearby. My husband is an avid boats man and enjoys to explore different places every time we go, always remembering the last place he has been. We have our favorite spots to go to and always return to the marvelous restaurant “Manolis” in Trikeri which in our opinion should be world famous! The simple beauty and tranquility of this small fishing village provides the perfect remedy to recharge from a fast paced New York lifestyle. There is no doubt that Villa Polyxena has become our preferred destination hands down and we always look forward to returning.
The villa was beautiful with amazing art work and a classical Greek design. The staff kept it very clean and took pride in their work. We loved that we had beverages waiting for us upon our arrival and fresh cut flowers in our spacious rooms. The most stunning aspect of all was the fact that the sea was just under out toes. Every room had a view and we literally (as it was described) fell into the inviting sea every morning. There are not many villas in the world that can provide this kind of comfort and access to the sea. Needless to say our family spent the majority of our time on the jetty and small private beach. We hired Jacopo the captain to take us out on several excursions on the speed boat and discovered beautiful little bays just minutes from the villa with breathtaking water. We even went to Skiathos and Skopolos one day and saw the famous “Mama Mia” bays where they filmed many scenes of their movie. Never before have we seen water so clean and so blue not to mention warm! Amazingly for August there was very few boats and people—a breath of fresh air considering all the tourism and boats that we would have had to contend with in Mykonos!! We often ended our sea excursions returning to the pool and unwinding with a nice long sauna. The highlights of our days was dinner by candle light under the stars

Absolutely gorgeous! We had the perfect little getaway. The villa is privately tucked away yet close enough to walk or kayak to the nearby public beaches if you choose. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet privacy of our own little bay and the serenity of laying out on the dock away from the crowds. The property was well maintained and our needs were always met.
