Xirokastello is a village located 11km from the Town of Zakynthos to its southeast coast in a majestic lush green area adorned with pine trees, at an altitude of 400m. The forest of Agios Dionisios is a pristine area evoking a great feeling of tranquility nearby. Xirokastello is located in the peninsula of Vasilikos which hosts some of the most beautiful beaches with pebbles and soft sand. In this region, you will find the picturesque Venetian port of Porto da Via as well as one of the oldest monasteries of the island, Panagia Skopiotissa, but also the National Sea Park Museum of Zakynthos.
