Xirokastello is a village located 11km from the Town of Zakynthos to its southeast coast in a majestic lush green area adorned with pine trees, at an altitude of 400m. The forest of Agios Dionisios is a pristine area evoking a great feeling of tranquility nearby. Xirokastello is located in the peninsula of Vasilikos which hosts some of the most beautiful beaches with pebbles and soft sand. In this region, you will find the picturesque Venetian port of Porto da Via as well as one of the oldest monasteries of the island, Panagia Skopiotissa, but also the National Sea Park Museum of Zakynthos. Within one kilometer from Xirokastello, the visitor is found in Argasi a popular touristic resort. One of the sites that stand out in this area is the 16th-century mansion of the Domenegini family with its tower.

It is split into two sections both of which we had full access to which meant it was extremely spacious, as well as characterful, quiet, clean and had all the facilities you could need. Our hosts were wonderful. We were met by Athena's mother who went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even giving us a lift to the nearby shop to pick up some essentials when we arrived, giving us some left over charcoal and tips on using the BBQ, and a gift when we left! Athena was quick to respond to any questions and helped us get a taxi to the villa and organise a rental car. These personal touches and the quality of the villa meant we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay, which I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Zakynthos. Thanks you Athena!
The house is spacious and well located (Not so far from Zakynthos town, Argassi and the airport). It has a very beautiful view on the sea combined with a wonderful private pool.
