The Houses have been operated by the family since 1986, with much devotion and care towards the guests' needs. Liuba Houses are ideal for families and couples seeking peaceful and stress-free holidays within nature and close to the beach. Christina House, the 80 sq.m two-bedroom stone house features a private swimming pool and is located on top of a lush green hill, also offering views towards Gerakas Beach. The house can accommodate 4 persons. This house offers two air-conditioned bedrooms, one with queen size bed and the other with two single beds. Christina house also offers one bathroom with shower as well as an open plan living room and fully equipped kitchen, with dining area. It has two verandas, one furnished front veranda leading to the pool where sunbeds are offered to the guests and one back veranda ideal to enjoy your afternoon relaxation.
Vasilikos village is located 11km from Zakynthos Town and is one of the most popular destinations of Zakynthos situated on the peninsula of the island in the southeast. Vasilikos is a general area of the peninsula rather than a separate resort, including many villages. It is known for its natural beauty and tranquility. Beautiful blue and clear shallow waters and beaches embraced by high mountains and vast olive groves compose its beautiful frame making also ideal for families with children. Access is easy by car or even on foot. Here lie some of the most breathtaking beaches of the whole Ionian complex. Vasilikos is also a known reproduction site for the famous Caretta sea-turtle. Georgios is an excellent host and showed us around the area on arrival. He was there to help if needed.
The location is lovely with open countryside and distant sea views. The little houses are full of rustic charm and set a distance apart to maintain privacy. The shower was separate and enclosed within the bathroom so floor stayed dry. The 1.5m deep pools are very well maintained and super clean. Large paved area around pool for sunbathing. Gerakas beach is walkable not too busy especially in the morning. Other beaches not too far. Plenty of tavernas and mini market/bakery within walking distance.
We stayed in Christina House in this small and well arranged complex of separate houses on the southern tip of Zathynthos in early June.
If you don't mind short walks to two lovely beaches with turquoise seas - Gerakas and Porto Roma - then you don't need a car. There are small shops within easy reach and excellent, friendly tavernas serving up top quality food. Buses run into Zathynthos town and taxis are reasonably priced.
The owner Giorgos gives all his guests a warm welcome and an introductory tour of beaches and shops, even stopping while you do your first shop.
This holiday provided everything we needed for rest and relaxation in the sun.

My family and I (2 adults, 2 young children) have just returned from a 10 night stay in the Christina villa - a return visit after going in June last year as well.
George and his team were extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough for us to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house, pool and grounds were all kept spotlessly clean. While the house itself could use a little end-of-season maintenance and isn't hugely well-equipped it's more than adequate for a relaxing and peaceful stay.
The location is fantastic too; just a short walk away are numerous tavernas which are all very welcoming of children and often have their own play areas where your children can let off some steam while you enjoy a Mythos. Local Gerakas beach (30m walk) is a beautiful and safe place to swim and introduce your family to the sea. There is even a sealife rescue centre you can visit for free which highlights Gerakas' importance as a turtle sanctuary.
While we were looking at it from a family perspective i think the villa's would have a lot to offer all sort of groups, so do check them out. Just don't go expecting a banging nightlife or 5* luxury, but instead the best Greece has to offer in terms of genuine hospitality and natural beauty
