Kaloniktis is located 15 km west of Rethymnon, on a hill at an altitude of 270 m., Between three rivers.

The villa is exquisite. In a quiet location with a daily swimming pool for a relaxing holiday. The place is clean and very neat. Ideal for families with children but also for couples.

We are a group of 13; three families that travel together to a select destination every year. This was without doubt, our best European vacation, by a country mile! Katerina was an excellent host/manager, ever-ready to assist with enquiries. She even became a part of the gang at times! We have already made some suggestions, including making the availability of a chef an option. We had a wonderful local chef, Perecles, who served up an assortment of very palatable dishes daily. What he lacked in English language skills he more than made up for with dedication and professionalism! On our final day, a ping-pong board was being installed. That's a wonderful addition to the villa. Otherwise, that's it! We thoroughly loved it and would recommend Villa Zeus in a heartbeat.
Where to begin.... Villa Zeus is AMAZING. It overlooks this glorious green expanse with these amazing mountains. Every morning waking up with this view, filled me with so much happiness! The house itself is huge. We were a party of 10 and felt at no point that we were on top of each other. The rooms all have a double bed, a bath/shower + loo right next to it. Each apartment was fully kitted out with kitchen/dining/sitting room. Downstairs is just amazing, you have the kitchen inside and an industrial style kitchen outside in the outside eating area. It's got an awesome BBQ/fire pit thing which is massive, and a pizza oven - I am a massive pizza fan, so was gutted not to have made any (we just didn't have the time)! Chilling by the pool was amazing and so relaxing, birds tweeting, every so often a couple of swallows would dip down and drink from the pool - literally I felt like Snow White! Katerina was amazing - she literally made the holiday, we were happy enough chilling in this epic house, but Katerina suggested a couple of places, one of which was this lake 30 mins drive from the house (Limni) - this place was beautiful, bright clear turquoise waters, lovely people, beaming sun. It was the dream. Katerina went above and beyond to help us out. Finding us amazing restaurants, and other places. She was on the other end of the phone and always responded super quickly. She swung by our place when we thought we hadn't locked up, she helped organise taxis, she went above and beyond to make our stay - an absolute 5 star host. If you're think about staying in villa Zeus, its an absolute dream. (only thing I would advise is to hire cars - we were so glad that we did, gave us a lot more freedom and allowed us to go to all of these amazing places!)
