Kalamaki Heraklion is a beautiful beach located 67 km southwest of Heraklion town close to the villages of Tymbaki and Mires. It is a fully organized beach where visitors can find all sorts of amenities within close distance. Kalamaki is dotted with taverns close to the beach which offers a variety of fresh fish and other local delicacies. The beach has very strong winds at times, due to its location. Its soft golden sand and turquoise waters are inviting and it is also easily accessible, by private car as public transport is limited.
Heraklion is the biggest and most popular region of Crete on the eastern side of the island located between Rethymno and Lassithi. We spent two weeks in this villa in late August, together with my husband and our two daughters. In a few words, the villa was fantastic and we had a very pleasant stay. The house itself is extremely well set, organized, all equipments inside and outside are perfect, modern, clean. Especially, the swimming pool is amazing. The villa is located in a very peaceful place, very close to the beach, and close to many villages and great locations to visit. I also would like to mention that the owner, and the people working for the villa (cleaning, gardening...) welcomed us very well, were alway alvailable for any question and it contributed to spending an outstanding stay in Crete.
The villa is amazing, beautiful view on the mountains and the sea. The location is very quiet and we had very relaxing stay with our children. Villa is perfectly equiped, with the private pool , nothing was missing. Thank you
