Xirosterni is a small old village essentially untouched by tourism near Kefalas and Vamos village. It's a lovely place to live, very quiet and peaceful and just 2-3 minutes from the restaurants and cafes of Kefalas and all the amenities of Vamos. In addition, the beaches at Kalyves, Almyrida and Georgioupolis are all less than 10 minutes away. At the center of the village, there is a church and every year on the 5th and 6th of August there is a great festival in Xirosterni to its honor and visitors are more than welcome to join it and witness the Cretan tradition.

Because the villa is so private, having a car is almost essential to make the most of surrounding beaches and towns. But if you enjoy driving through scenic roads, this is a bonus, not a drawback.
We came as three couples and this villa was ideal - every bedroom had its own bathroom, so we all had privacy. The shared spaces were perfect for late-night dinners and drinks by the pool. The views are unreal!
The villa is incredible, but what really stood out was the host. From the warm welcome to quick help with car hire and local tips, everything was taken care of. We had our own space as couples but came together for long dinners by the pool. Highly recommend for couples traveling together.
