Plaka is a quiet village in the Apokoronas region, east of Chania, above Kalives and Almirida at about 2km. The village is developing rapidly since there is an interest from tourists to buy houses in the area. In Plaka, there is a large square under the shelter of trees with taverns, a church, and picturesque alleys that lead to beautiful villas. On the way from Plaka to coastal villages, there is a magnificent view of Souda Bay where from the sunset is breathtaking. Further down you can have a refreshing dive in the waters of Almyrida and Kalyves.
