Imerovigli Santorini is a picturesque village north of Santorini, 2 km from the capital of Fira. The name of Imerovigli comes from the word vigla which means view spot. The position of the village provides a clear view of the caldera and makes it very attractive to tourists. Here you will find many taverns and cafes with stunning views to the caldera. In front of Imerovigli, there is a huge rock called Scaros. On top of it, there is a 13th-century castle which in the past housed all the administrative offices of the island. This part of the island though collapsed after a strong earthquake, and only the hill of Scaros remained. We thoroughly liked our time here and created some wonderful family memories.
Breakfast was excellent, the villa was spotless, and the service was excellent. Throughout our entire time and even before we got to Santorini, the host was incredibly helpful. Bring the photographic equipment of your choice. I would strongly advise popping some champagne and taking in the sunset. The private catamaran ride was the high point of our trip to Santorini. We can't wait to visit once more.
