Overlooking the Aegean Sea and the surrounding area, the houses and villas are uniquely decorated and come with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. About the Location

Fira Santorini is the capital of Santorini, Greece located at the west side of the island, 10 km away from the main port of Athinios. Built on a cliff, at a height of 260 meters, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the volcano. The town of Fira gets very busy during the high season. It is a typical Cycladic village with charming whitewashed houses, with blue doors and windows and small labyrinth-like paved alleys. Most of its beautiful buildings are of Venetian architecture, including some blue domed churches and colorful verandas that open up an incredible view of the volcano and the world famous sunset of Santorini. Fira is the commercial center of the island with all kinds of shops, great restaurants, cafes, bars and night clubs. The caldera is considered the highlight of Santorini. For those into history, a visit to the Archaeological Museum is a must do. The town includes numerous churches and monasteries worth visiting such as Agios Minas, the cathedral of Ipapanti, the cathedral of Christ, the monastery of Panagia ton Dominikanidon,  and others. Fira also has a port that is only used for cruise boats. From there, boats can take visitors for a tour to the volcano of Nea and Palia Kameni.

Fabulous short-notice find!

We had a two bedroom villa for two couples and it was plenty of room for us all. The small kitchenette was sufficient for lunches with room for food and drinks. We enjoyed our private pool as well as the main pool areas. By far it is the staff who make this resort so special though. We were given so many recommendations for meals and all were fantastic. We were also helped with bookings for cars and excursions which ensured absolutely everything went to plan. Nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing experience in Santorini!

We had such an amazing time, it was hard to leave. The villa (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & kitchen and living area) was beyond our expectation: stylish in the cave home spirit of the Island, super clean, well equipped and with a beautiful sea view and private pool. The main pool area is also lovely. But beyond the accommodation, the service was stellar: warm welcome, tips to explore the island, and excellent service altogether. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay unique. Demetrius, the owner, also took the time to greet us. Thank you to everyone and especially Evi & Maria. I can only highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great time in Santorini.

Excellent place to stay and thoroughly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Desiterra for our holiday on Santorini. The communication pre-arrival was always done without delay and Vivian was very helpful, including re-arranging a transfer from the airport for us when our arrival time was changed at short notice. The villa was excellent for four of us and the 2 bedrooms were clean, spacious and well appointed with a huge, very comfortable bed. The private pool was a good size and cleaned regularly, with the villa cleaned daily. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about restaurants, trips and other places of interest which we wouldn't have found on our own, even though we had been to the island before. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend Desiterra and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Highly Recommended!

It was very cozy.... very clean and comfortable. Maria at the desk went above and beyond to help with any requirements we may have had... from making suggestions on places to eat at or where we should go to visit and was quick to make arrangements for transfers.

Perfect!

The private pool and view of the ocean was amazing. The whole resort is super clean and beautiful. Its all new and staff treats you like family. I will definitely return. Highly recommend this hotel.
