The unique domed villas, dug in the rocky grounds of the ancient village of Emporio, are built in harmony with the island's unique morphology created by the volcano and are strongly influenced by the traditional Aegean Sea architecture. Along with the dreamy, handpicked decoration, the result is an environment of unusual freedom of expression that makes you feel mindful, joyful and balanced.
The kitchens are fully equipped and seat about 20 people in total, while all rooms are comfortable and sophisticated. The interior is both naturally and technically ventilated, while five air conditioners are installed for your comfort. In case you catch the sweet smell of freshly baked bread, you have turned lucky! The old bakeries, just a few meters away, may have been shut down long ago, but some people claim they can still sense the smell of baked goods!
Emporio Santorini is the largest settlement of Santorini located 12 km from Fira on the foothills of Mount Prophet Elias. It is said that the village took its name from the development of commerce (Emporio in Greek means “commercial”) since some years ago, it was the only village in the southern Santorini that had markets and shops. The village itself has a dominant medieval character and most of the houses haven’t been ruined by time. At the entrance of the village, you will find two blue domed Cycladic churches. Half way up the village there is a 15th century fortress worth visiting. To the east of the village, you will come across the main market and some accommodation options. Nearby is the famous Perissa beach.
