Ancient Ialyssos of Rhodes used to be one of three earliest city-states on Rhodes Island. Ialyssos is located about 10 to 15 km away from the present town of Rhodes on top of a fortified hill. In the 20th century, under the ruling of Italians, an old Byzantine monastery of the 6th century was rebuilt into a church in order to attract tourists. It comprised four chapels, one dedicated to the Orthodox Christians, one to the Catholics, one to the Knights and one to its old relics. I liked the ambiance. The outdoor space was wonderful and very calming.
Amazingly big and tastefully designed, the rooms left a modest impression. Additionally, the pool was wonderful; I would really suggest it.
Beautiful, roomy, and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay, the villa is an excellent value at this price. However, the excellent host is what actually makes the property worthwhile. welcomed us after our flight was delayed and assisted with all of our needs during our stay (organizing the trip, finding nice bars, ordering taxis, etc). I heartily endorse it.
