Plaka beach in Naxos is a continuation of the beach of Agia Anna and has a place among the most beautiful beaches of the island offering idyllic views to the Aegean Sea. It is a calm and long sandy beach that extends to 4km of coastline. It comprises fine grain golden sand and in some parts big flat stones and turquoise crystal clear waters. It is a partly organized beach with a few sea beds but no developed touristic facilities, preserving its unspoiled natural beauty. Some restaurants and cafes can be found behind the sandy dunes of Plaka beach. Nearby there are several sandy beaches, such as Maragas, Agios Prokopios, Mikri Vigla, and many more.

We booked spontaneously and were very enthusiastic about our stay and our super nice and attentive host. There was a very delicious and fresh breakfast every morning. A few meters to the beach. Very nice beach. Great restaurants within walking distance. Bus stop just a minute away (about 20 minutes drive to the port (2.30 euros)). We were there in mid-October. You could tell that the off-season was beginning and everything was slowly being dismantled and only a few restaurants were still open. But we enjoyed it very much that there were only a few tourists. The road between the accommodation and the hotel was very suitable for jogging and walking. Not very busy. We explored Naxos both by quad and on foot. A catamaran tour was a highlight.
