Aliko beach in is a wonderful small cove on the south western side of Naxos Cyclades protected by the winds. Located only 17 km south of Naxos Town and just after the beaches of Kastraki and Glyfada, Aliko will offer its visitors a more tranquil ambiance ideal for relaxation away from the crowded resorts of the island. This region consists of many small bays with powdery white sand and crystal water. Aliko is not an organized beach with cantinas and sunbeds and its pristine character is what differentiates it from most beaches of Naxos. Tamarisk trees line the shore providing a shade shelter to visitors. Above the beach of Aliko, there is a unique cedar forest with marvelous sand dunes that gives an exotic flair to the beach. This forest has been declared a protected natural area. Aliko can be reached by private means or by bus. The local bus to Aliko departs from the port of Naxos and includes 6 routes per day.
