Just 30 minutes from Marseille, in the charming village of Cassis, the Domaine de Canaille is one of the largest and most prestigious properties on the French Riviera. With 150 acres (60 ha) under Cap Canaille in the Calanques National Park, this luxury villa offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

Formerly the Revestel Hotel, which welcomed Virginia Woolf in the ’20s, this 6500 sq. ft (600 m2) mansion was entirely renovated in 2017 to combine modernity, simplicity, and comfort. Its four reception rooms on the sea and the eleven bedrooms allow it to comfortably accommodate twenty-four guests. The huge terrace of 5000 sqft (500 m2) overlooks a beautiful beach with turquoise waters, accessible on foot by a private path in 5 minutes. The property has a large heated 42-foot (13m) swimming pool, an orangery, and a petanque. Cassis village and harbor are less than 15 minutes away by foot. The Domaine de Canaille is a fully-serviced mansion available with its staff for holiday rentals, private and corporate events, seminars as well as wellness retreats. About the Location

France, French Riviera, Cassis

Located in Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the commune of Cassis is one of the most popular tourist sites in this part of southern France. It takes place on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, only fifteen kilometers from Marseille.

Delightful small port, Cassis benefits from an exceptional environment by being situated inbetween the Canaille cape cliff and the famous creeks. It is a really charming place to stay in the summer with its narrow streets and squares, its houses with colourful facades, its quaysides, its lively cafe terraces and its beautiful beaches. Numerous boats in the Cassis port offer various tours on the sea, in particular to visit the creeks

Populated since 600 BC, Cassis was already a village of importance in the Gallo-Roman era. Attached to the County of Provence in the 15th century, the Mediterranean city developed mainly during the 18th century, especially around its port. The economic activities are diversified, and Cassis becomes world famous for its olive oil, its wines, its stone or its work of the coral.

Today, the Provençal city is mainly orientated towards tourism, through its exceptional natural heritage and its many monuments to discover during a stay on site. Lovers of gastronomy will be seduced by the local specialties, and more particularly by the wine of Cassis. Enjoying an AOC, they are available in white or rosé to accompany aperitifs on the terrace.

The French Riviera, also known as the Côte d'Azur is popular for its glamour and scenic coastal towns. Antibes, Cannes, Cassis, Monaco, Nice, Saint-Tropez are only some of the best and liveliest towns for a luxurious travel experience.

The world’s most visited country, France with more than 89 million visitors each year rightfully seduces travelers with its culture, stunning landscape comprising of Alpine mountains, beautiful meadows, farms, rivers and spectacular sea coast France is about art and architecture. The country's cultural sights and rich history is staggering – in volume and diversity. There are plenty of things to see and do in France which is blessed with beautiful landscapes and diverse geography.
