The vast living space has a grand piano (for display only), a beautiful fireplace, and a TV room. If you want the real movie experience, Grande Corniche also has a two-tiered cinema with state-of-the-art surround sound, beautifully designed sofas, and drinks tables. Enjoy the latest movies or a family favorite and let our hosts provide the popcorn and drinks! Entertaining is at the heart of this chalet. On the upper level, the bar is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or a game of darts. Watch the sunset while having a drink on the bar’s balcony or find the secret slide, leading you down to the fabulous snooker room on the ground level.
The vast snooker room is also home to a beautiful wine cellar, where you can peruse our wide selection of carefully selected house and fine wines. Oak barrels and bar stools make this the perfect setting for wine tasting evenings or after-dinner drinks. The wine cellar can also function as a large dining room, perfect for corporate events and special occasions.
Grand Corniche Chalet Les Gets has a spectacular fitness, spa, and wellness center, which offers outstanding facilities. A state-of-the-art freshwater outdoor swimming pool overlooks the mountains and valley, creating the most magical place to relax in the sunshine or under the stars. Both the hot tub and heated swimming pool can be enjoyed throughout the year. An indoor sauna and spa relaxation room overlook the pool and surrounding landscape through huge floor-to-ceiling windows, which open onto the garden area. This area provides the perfect setting for summer parties or barbecues and provides plenty of space for children to play and enjoy the Alpine lifestyle.
Leading off the spa area is a large gym, equipped with a cross trainer, weights bench, boxing bag and gloves, free weights, plus a table tennis table. With ample floor space, the gym can also be used for yoga sessions and private instructors can be arranged to come to the chalet. A quiet, serene treatment room also provides a place for massages, beauty treatments, or physiotherapy treatments during your stay.
With seven bedrooms, the chalet can sleep up to 15 people. The five bedrooms and master suite make the most of the views and each has its own bathroom. These suites can be configured as twin or super king beds, allowing flexible arrangements for all guests. The chalet also has a bunk room with three beds, which can sleep, children or adults. Whoever is lucky enough to get the master suite can drink in the mountain views while in bed or soaking in the magnificent freestanding bathtub.
Les Gets Ski Resort is a charming alpine village that has maintained its authentic character. It is part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, which is the largest ski area in Europe. Les Gets has its throne at 1172 meters of height in the French Alps and boasts fascinating views. Its architectural style comprises a mix of traditional Savoyard chalets and more modern wooden-and-stone buildings constructed in harmony with their beautiful alpine surroundings, providing all the modern facilities and amenities, whilst still retaining the charm of an 800-year-old alpine community. It has a relaxed atmosphere, warm and friendly, typical of these areas.
The amenities in Les Gets include over 100 shops, bars and restaurants. The numerous artisan shops offer a wide range of local craft and produce, enhancing the real feel of this Savoyard village. Les Gets' nightlife has a warm and friendly atmosphere accompanied by a glass of good whiskey. There is a worthy selection of bars, hosting live music and all the big sports events are displayed on screens. Most bars stay open until 2 am, and for those who think that the night is young, there is the Igloo nightclub, open until 5 am.
Les Gets offers more than just a ski and snowboard holiday experience. With a huge list of non-ski activities to choose from, there is something for everybody to enjoy during a stay in Les Gets. Snow shoeing and parapenting are among the top activities, but bowling, sledging, and ice climbing as well as diving and Yoga, massage and spas will surely cater for every taste.
The ski area includes 14 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 400km of downhill skiing, with 285 marked pistes, served by a total of 196 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, Saint Jean d'Aulps, Champoussin, Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon. With ski lifts as high as 2,470m, snow cover is generally reliable.
