The views from Chalet Tiki Lodge Chamonix are simply stunning with a clear view all the way to Le Tour at the end of the valley. The lounge part doubles as a fourth bedroom with a convertible double sofa bed. The chalet is very practical for families. It is free-standing on the same 2000m2 grounds as the large catered Chalet Tissieres away from any roads, so a very safe place for children to play in the large alpine garden, be it in winter or summer. It retains its own privacy and private sun deck. In winter we offer a flexible catering service to suit your needs. So, you can choose self-catering, catered, or even full concierge (including ski shuttle service).
Chalet Tiki Lodge Chamonix is spread over two floors and consists of 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6-8. Newly renovated with a large open plan living & dining area together with private sun terrace.
On the Ground Floor. Spacious Entrance for skis and boots. Bathroom 1 - Comprising of shower/bath, basin, heated towel rail, and toilet. Bathroom 2 - Comprising of shower, basin, heated towel rail, toilet, and washing machine. Lounge with a flat-screen TV with UK Sky TV, DVD player, and wood-burning stove. Lounge also has a pull-out double sofa bed (so can sleep a further 2 people here if required). Spacious open plan kitchen with breakfast bar seating area, dishwasher, microwave, SMEG oven with gas hobs, and fridge/freezer. Dining area with an 8 seat oak dining table. Bedroom 1 - Double or single beds. Sun terrace with direct access from the living area, teak table, parasol, loungers, and BBQ. Hallway with storage cabinet, wine rack, and stair case to 1st floor.
On the First Floor.Bedroom 2 – Twin or double. Bedroom 3 (master bedroom) – Double. Landing area with chest of drawers. This beautiful hamlet is just 3km outside Chamonix Town Centre giving quick access to the ski areas of Brévent Flégère and Les Houches via the main bus route and valley road network.
Chamonix is a famous resort area near the junction of France, Switzerland and Italy. At the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps, it's renowned for its skiing. Year-round, cable cars take visitors up to several nearby peaks with panoramic views, including Aiguille du Midi above town, and Pointe Helbronner, across vast glacier fields on the Italian border.
The famous Mont Blanc is the world’s third most visited natural sight with a huge choice of outdoor activities, from off-piste skiing and climbing to hiking at beautiful mountain trails or glaciers. Admire Mont Blanc from the Pic du Midi in just 20 minutes via the Aiguille du Midi cable car which climbs to an altitude of 3842m. It is one of the four panoramic terraces accessible to visitors.
Mont Blanc is the highest peak of the Alps and forms part of the border with Italy. With an altitude of 4810m, it is always covered with snow that is why it is also called the White Mountain. Experienced climbers can climb it always with the help of the local guides. It is a 10 to 12 hours route. It is also known as the “Roof of Europe” because of its thrilling viewpoints of the Aiguilles Rouges mountain ranges and the gorgeous Chamonix Valley.
At Mont Blanc’s majestic snowcapped peak is located the traditional village of Chamonix filled with historic churches and beautiful chalets. It is a well-known ski resort ever since the Winter Olympics of 1924 with six ski areas for beginners to extreme skiers.
Don’t forget to use the tramway du Mont Blanc with its two stops Bellevue and Nid d Aigle. The Mer de Glace is one of the largest glaciers in Europe and it is also called the Sea of Ice. The museum of Alpine History is ideal to learn more about the history of the area and the golden era of the glamorous ski resorts.
