REVIEW SCORE

Located in Méribel’s exclusive village, Chalet Infusion Meribel is one of the most luxurious chalets in the area. One of the few recipients of the Tourist Office’s ‘5* Label Meribel’ award, Chalet Infusion Meribel is located just 200m from the village’s bars and restaurants as well as the Telesiege du Golf chairlift which connects to the Altiport and from there the entire Three Valleys network. The piste that returns skiers to the village is replete with snow canons ensuring season-round access and should you want to ski back to the chalet a short detour through the trees from the piste brings you back to the terrace or front door.

Built on three stories, Chalet Infusion Meribel is a typical Savoyarde property and features six ensuite bedrooms, four of which have balconies overlooking the mountains. Each is furnished in different fabrics, textures, and antique furniture and all six bedrooms can be made into either a double or a twin, and four are suitable for the inclusion of cots.

The south-facing sitting room is at the heart of the chalet and features large, squashy sofas, a roaring log fire, HD satellite, digital and Apple television, DVD player, music and iPod systems, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views stretching across to the Olympe chairlift and the 1992 Olympics women’s downhill run. The adjacent dining room features a beautiful oak Tuscany table and French windows which open onto a very private sun deck.  An expansive terrace, running around most of the chalet, features a Jacuzzi, Sauna, outdoor table and chairs, sun-loungers, outdoor heaters, table tennis, pool table, darts board, exterior music system, and a fully stocked bar. About the Location

France, French Alps, 3 Valleys

Meribel, Savoie, France, is a famous resort that links the 3 Valee Ski resort in the French Alps. It was developed in close proximity to the traditional hamlet of Morel, situated at about 1400 meters above sea level. Founded by a Scotsman, Colonel Peter Lindsay who was looking for a new site for winter sports away from Austria and Germany, today it is one of the top ski destinations of France. Lindsay used specialized architects to ensure that all buildings would be in harmony with the Savoyard style, using wood and stone for the walls, with slanted slate roofs.

Méribel gained such popularity that it hosted the events of the 1992 Winter Olympics, namely the ice hockey and the women's alpine skiing events. Its huge success, granted it as host to the acclaimed Altitude Festival till 2011, with prestigious names performing in the bars and nightclubs around the resort attracting visitors from all over the globe.

The ski resort of Maribel is part of the Trois Vallées ski area. The Three Valleys area comprises 180 lifts, 335 marked runs that correspond to over 600 kilometers, and over 130km of cross-country tracks. The Three Valleys since 1996 have incorporated a fourth valley, though the area maintained the name Trois Vallées. The area comprises the resorts of Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Les Menuires-Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle.

The resort comprises the sub-village of Méribel-Mottaret, at an altitude of 1750 m towards the head of the Allues valley, and Méribel Village at 1400 m on the road to Courchevel 1850.
