Courchevel 1650 is a French Alps ski resort, part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. The center of Moriond village is based along the main road linking Courchevel Village with Courchevel. This is where the majority of shops, bars, and restaurants are concentrated so that visitors can enjoy shopping and fine dining. It is also where the bus stops are linking La Praz / La Tania all the way up to Courchevel.
During the winter the ski area is particularly popular with families. One of the blue pistes has been specially themed for children featuring the ‘Grey Wolf’s’ tribe Indian camp, complete with Tepees, archery and face painting. The Moriond slopes are very popular and supply fun daily to many skiers and boarders because it gets the best of the sunshine in the Three Valleys. The area is also where you will find Le Bel Air, a fascinating mountain restaurant with fantastic views as well as tastes.
During summer Courchevel Moriond is also popular with walkers and climbers. There are a number of routes that start from this village. There are a nearby lake and river where visitors can enjoy various water sports. This is an ideal season also for ambitious Mountain Bikers who can traverse the Three Valleys area using the lifts just up the road in Courchevel.
