These two lovely modern villas are three-bedroom (each) escapes with gorgeous sea and unsurpassed views over the bay and the Peljesac peninsula. Found only a few hours from Dubrovnik yet a world away from the tourist crowds, both villas are modern havens in a lesser-traveled part of the Croatian coast, where nearby lush landscapes and deserted beaches are just waiting to be explored. Island Korcula is a typical Mediterranean island with various sorts of indigenous plants and aromatic herbs like rosemary, lavender, immortelle, mint, marjoram, and so on. Island Korcula is very proud of its traditions, which the people of Korcula have cherished and passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years. The island is also known as the home of the world-famous merchant traveler, explorer, and imperial emissary, Marco Polo. His supposed house of birth is located in the proximity of the Cathedral in town Korcula, where Villas Alter Ego are located nearby.
Villa Alter Ego II is situated on the right side and spreads over 4 levels: the ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor. The villa has an outdoor swimming pool with sea water and possibility of heating, an outdoor jaccuzi, sauna and gym inside the villa. Within Villa Alter Ego II, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate toilet and it is suitable accommodation for 6+1 person. If villas are booked together the villas’ living areas are easily connected. As a pair, these villas offer a superb 6-bedroom escape for families or groups.
When entering villa on the ground floor you will find separated gym. The first floor of the villas are designed as oasis for sleep and here you will find wonderfully designed two double bedrooms and one twin room – all having access to the terrace with a beautiful sea view an jacuzzi. In addition, on this level there are charming bathrooms with a shower to give you maximum comfort during your stay.
The second floor of these modern villas is designed for gathering. There is a spacious, contemporary living room with a sofa and LCD TV, a dining area with a dining table and chairs, equipped modern kitchen and a guest toilet. Large glass sliding doors connect the interior of the villa with outdoor terrace with breathtaking views. There are extensive terraces, partly shaded, and comfortably furnished. All terrace areas are ideal for summer entertainment, as you can enjoy the best Dalmatian specialties and create unforgettable moments with your loved ones.
On the last, third floor is truly a stress-free zone - heated Infinity pool with stunning views over the bay. The fully equipped pool area, with sitting furniture and sun umbrellas, will bring your holiday to the highest standard and comfort. The villa also benefits from a BBQ and outside dining area – perfect place for some al-fresco dining and a glass of local wine. One of the most popular travel destinations on Croatia’s South Dalmatian coast, the island of Korcula which is also one of the most verdant. It’s dark, dense pine forests inspired the Ancient Cnidian Greeks to name it Melaina Korkyra (Black Corfu or Corcyra, as their homeland region, was once known) when they settled there in 6 BC. Today, the lush pine forests remain are still predominant in the hilly Adriatic island, especially along its north-facing slopes, scattered with dry stone walls, vineyards and olive groves. In fact, two of the most popular Croatian white wines, Posip and Grk are grown on the island.
Korcula is a preferred destination because of its rich in vineyards, olive groves and small villages, and its quaint yet glorious old town. The island of Korcula is the sixth-largest Adriatic island, stretching nearly 47km in length. Quiet coves and small sandy beaches with emerald waters dot the steep southern coast and attract snorkeling fans, while the northern shore is flatter and more pebbly. Pupnatska Luka beach on the south coast is a true gem and is considered the most beautiful beach with green backdrops of pine trees reaching down the sea and mixing with its colors, leaving its visitors simply speechless. Korcula is very rich in traditions customs, with age-old religious ceremonies, folk music and dances still being performed. Oenophiles will adore sampling its quality wine, so make sure you don’t skip a wine tour. Arguably the best of all Croatian whites are produced from the indigenous grape pošip, originating from the areas around the villages of Čara and Smokvica. The grk grape, cultivated around Lumbarda, also produces quality dry white wine.
