Villa Umag is fitted in the old rustic style, with high ceilings and large spacious rooms. Villa Umag satisfies all requirements of a worry-free stay and vacation. The villa consists of a central living area - located on the south side with an open view of the pool, a Mediterranean garden and to the sea, consisting of the ground floor and first floor. The northern part of the villa - which consists of ground, first and second floors, houses two completely separate apartments for guests and servants. Guests can use the apartment on the first floor, while the apartment on the second floor of the villa is used by staff only during maintenance and cleaning of the villa. During your stay, the staff does not live in a villa, as the villa is intended exclusively for residential guests.
The central residential part of the villa extends on the south and east and consists of ground and first floors, a large spacey terrace which extends on the entire length on the Southside of Villa, facing the garden which houses a swimming pool surrounded by Mediterranean plants and all trees of magnolia, pines and palm trees. The free-formed swimming pool is about 28m², fitted with hydro massage, massage jets, night lights, summer and winter cover, automatic pool sweeper and solar-heated outdoor shower. The swimming pool’s depth is well suited for both children and adults, as the depth ranges from 0.4m to 1.35m.
On the lower floor, guests can enjoy the living room with a marble fireplace, facing an open view of the sea and the yard. The large open floor plan accommodates a dining room and well-stocked central kitchen, along with a guest bathroom with a shower stall. From the living room, guests can follow a hall with its oak staircase to the first floor or follow it to two side rooms, one of which features a bedroom with a queen bed number, a small bath with a shower and a laundry room with outside kitchen.
For outside entertainment, the outdoor kitchen is fully stocked and in the vicinity of the eastern backyard, dedicated to recreation, socializing and barbequing, as there is a built-in grilling centre with a large marble dining table. From the eastern backyard, guests enter into a separate SPA area, containing a gym, Jacuzzi and a bathroom.
Climbing the oak stairs that continue onto the hall to the first floor, guests are greeted with a loft with an entertainment centre and TV. On the left side, guests enter two comfortable bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom with a shower. The bedrooms open up onto a large terrace that extends the entire length of the south side of Villa, with a view of the entire bay and the old city Umag. On the right side is a suite, a space that interconnects large master bedrooms and smaller children’s rooms, as well as a beautiful bathroom with a tub and a terrace facing the eastern backyard.
On the north side of the property, there is a separate entrance with a large iron gate for entrance to parking space dedicated for 3-4 vehicles. On the north side is also an entrance to apartment space which is entirely separated from the central Villa accommodations with guaranteed total privacy for guests or the staff. On the first floor, there is a fully equipped apartment for guests or staff, with a private back entrance, living room, bedroom with queen bed, open plan kitchen, bathroom with shower and a large terrace. The apartment is fully furnished with a well-stocked kitchen.
Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea, located at the head of the Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and the Kvarner Gulf. It is shared by three countries: Croatia for its most part, Slovenia, and Italy. Istria is a heart-shaped, 3600-sq-km peninsula in the country's northwest. It features a bucolic scenery of rolling hills and fertile plains and is a favorite destination for food- and culture-focused lovers to Istria’s hilltop villages and farmhouse restaurants, while the indented coastline is enormously popular with the sun-and-sea set. Despite the vast hotel complexes which line much of the coast and the fact that the rocky beaches are not Croatia’s best, facilities are wide-ranging and the sea is clean offering many secluded spots for maximum relaxation.
Istria is a hidden gem in Croatia to get away from the crowds and find a more authentic and relaxing holiday experience. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the country for the fact that it has strong Italian influences thanks to its proximity to the Italian border. Both Croatian and Italian are the official languages and not surprisingly Istria is famous for its great wines and Mediterranean cuisine.
