House Hannes Schneider Chalet Stuben, a luxury chalet in Stuben am Arlberg, Austria. A historic symbol, House Hannes Schneider is the former childhood home of ski pioneer and legend Hannes Schneider, transformed into a stylish alpine townhouse by the Kristiania Lech hotel in 2016. Right in the middle of Stuben, the pedestrian-only village, but with a private chafeur for guests to explore the renowned Arlberg region, the chalet is luxuriously and comfortably equipped with the best-of-the-best high-tech gadgetry and is wonderfully spacious.

House Hannes Schneider Chalet Stuben was a pioneer of alpine skiing and his technique has shaped the sport even to this present day. House no. 14 in Stuben was where Hannes Schneider was born in 1890. You may still sense some of his infectious skiing passion inside the house. Although the urge to attack the mountain might be great.

Original 50s pieces, reciting the glamorous era of skiing, are mixed with sumptuous fabrics, modernist furnishings, beautiful antiques, and striking art, combined with aged woods, natural stones, and traditional Austrian details spread over four floors to create a rare and unusual treasure trove of living space. The open-plan first floor, from the kitchen with a private chef, to a cozy living room with comfortable fireside sofas and a long table set for family and friends to gather for meals, is an ideal spot for family enjoyment. There is also a high-tech cinema room and playroom for all to enjoy. The chalet comes equipped with a dedicated spa area with a sauna and hot tub.

No expense has been spared with this beautiful townhouse set over five floors. The ground floor comprises an open plan Gaggenau kitchen and open plan living room complete with library, and open plan dining room. Also on this floor is a dedicated cinema room, dedicated children’s play area, and veranda. The first floor comprises three master suites. The main master suite has a luxurious double bed with an ensuite bathroom and its own separate study. Both of the other two master suites also have luxurious double beds and ensuite bathrooms. The second floor has a further three master suites all with luxurious beds and ensuite bathrooms and one with its own separate study. The sixth master suite sleeps four and also comes with a gallery. The two basement floors feature two storage rooms, a dedicated laundry room, a preparation kitchen, a guest toilet, a twin-bedded nanny room with an ensuite shower, and a boot and ski room. The upper basement also features wellness facilities complete with a sauna and spa.

The charisma of the region increased dramatically after 2016 when the new cable car glided over from Alpe Rauz to Zurs, connecting Tirol with Vorarlberg and making Austria the largest connected ski resort.
